Not a good time to bring that info to light.
Been debating whether to post it or not since tuesday when he was here and finally decided this was as good a time as any. If it is true then it doesn't matter the facts remain the same, and if false then better to squash rumors early than to let them linger.
There's no reason to be spreading rumors about the dead.
For some reason a lot of folks on here get morbid joy out of the various "tits up" threads and things of that sort, but I still find them highly disrespectful and there's no good argument for turning this thread into one of those.
The man isn't even buried yet. Spreading these rumors will do nothing to squash them. People only like to repeat the "juicy" stuff.
A little respect for the dead and their families is proper. It will be you or your family member one day.
Not so much spreading rumors but looking for truth. If this is the truth and the wreck was the result of drunk driving then everyone will have a whole different prespective on it, including yourself, unless of course you support driving under the influence.
The accident is done and over with, and spreading rumors that it was a DUI is not going to provide us with 'the truth.' Only the autopsy can do that and I dont see any of us pulling that out of a hat and sharing it.
If you've got those notarized results in your hand then fine, that's a bit different.
As for perspective, it's a shame that he's gone, DUI or no DUI, and its fortunate no one else was injured.

Nope but asking whether or not something is fact or rumor will provide the truth. Read what is written I never once stated it to be fact and was trying to find out the truth so I wouldn't be thinking wrongly. Hiding from it or not wanting to know doesn't make it better.
Again I reiterate that if true EVERYONE will have a different perspective on things.

None of us are the coroner or M.E. None of us have the autopsy results. So how are we going to determine the truth without any of that?
I am fairly certain this one can be debunked without coroners reports since their are witnesses that can attest to whether or not he was at the bar drinking and left drunk or whether he was even there at all. And in a community as small as this it would be even easier to say one way or the other.
And my point will remain that until it is 100% fact, one way or the other, there's no point in spreading rumors.
Played cards with Larkin a few times and even was involved in the partaking of a few adult beverages with him. He was a good guy, and opinions/theories about the cause right now are just that, opinons/theories.
